Our Standards (CCPIA)
Professional Commercial Inspection Framework
International Standards of Practice for
Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP)

At ECE Consulting LLC, our inspectors are CCPIA Certified and strictly follow the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP). Regarded as the industry gold standard, the ComSOP provides a comprehensive framework that ensures every inspection is objective, thorough, and professional. It defines the 'Scope of Work' by detailing exactly which systems—such as HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and electrical—must be evaluated. Beyond just a checklist, the ComSOP establishes the requirements for the final written report, ensuring that any material defects are clearly identified and that the client receives a reliable roadmap of the building's current condition.
At ECE, LLC, our commercial property inspections are performed in accordance with the recognized guidelines established by the CCPIA. Our inspection approach follows the Comprehensive Commercial Property Inspection Guidelines, providing a structured, professional framework for evaluating commercial buildings and major building systems.
We are committed to delivering clear, objective, and well-documented inspections that help clients better understand the condition of a property, identify significant deficiencies, recognize deferred maintenance concerns, and support informed real estate and asset-management decisions.

-
Photo documentation and condition recording during the inspection process
-
Identification of deferred maintenance indicators and observable performance concerns
-
Remaining useful life considerations for major building systems, when appropriate
